DreamWorks Studios has named Jeff Small as Chief Operating Officer, it was announced today by Stacey Snider, Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Prior Small was COO at Revolution, where he oversaw business and legal affairs, finance, physical production, and administration. Before joining Revolution, Small spent several years with Universal Studios and Universal Pictures where his worked involved corporate and business development group, including mergers and acquisitions across film, television, and music areas.

Venture capital firm Kodiak Venture Partners has appointed Atiq Raza, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Raza Microelectronics and Mike Volpi, Senior Vice President for Cisco Systems' Service Provider Group and Routing Technology Group as the two inaugural appointments to the firm’s Board of Advisors. The Waltham-based firm focuses on communications, wireless, semiconductors, software, and Internet & new media companies. Portfolio companies include ChannelAdvisor in Morrisville, N.C. and Groove Mobile in Bedford.

FireEye, a provider of network malware control solutions, today announced that it has appointed David Butler as Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Prior to joining FireEye, Butler served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business development for Aruba Networks.
