Los Angeles - A former executive at defunct handheld game maker Gizmondo, who crashed a rare Ferrari while driving 162 mph on Malibu's Pacific Coast Highway, will be retried on charges of fraud and grand theft after a jury failed to reach a decision Friday, the Associated Press reported.

Stefan Eriksson was accused of failing to make payments on several other rare vehicles in the case; he earlier pleaded no contest to charges of driving under the influence in connection with the crash that wrecked the $1.5 million Ferrari Enzo.

Eriksson, who argued that he stopped making payments on the other vehicles because Gizmondo had gone under, not because he intended to steal them. The jury in the case was deadlocked 10-2 in favor of conviction.
