Msystems Shareholders Approve Acquisition by SanDisk
Milpitas, Calif. - SanDisk, a maker of flash memory data storage cards, said on Wednesday that shareholders of Israel's msystems have voted to approve the company's acquisition by SanDisk.
More than 99% of the shares represented at the meeting voted in favor of the $1.3 billion deal, first announced in late July. The acquisition, which would unite a pair of flash memory pioneers with complementary products, customers and channels, still requires Israeli court approval, and should most likely close later this month.
