New York - Viacom's MTV Networks announced on Thursday that it has partnered with Korean online game publisher Nexon, to develop MTV's Neopets property and launch Nexon's casual multiplayer online games in North America.
The companies will create a premium version of MTV's Neopets online youth community, where users can purchase virtual items for customization and personalization. MTV will also promote the launch of two of Nexon's titles -- "Maple Story" and "Kart Rider" -- across its broadcast and online properties. The two games already count a combined 130 million players worldwide. Nexon will also work to create MTV-branded virtual items for distribution within its games.
