Novato, Calif. - Sonic Solutions, a developer of digital media software, said on Wednesday that it has acquired System OK, a maker of backup and recovery software based in Sweden.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Sonic said that the acquisition expands and complements its Roxio product line of digital media management, creation and enjoyment tools. Founded in 2002, System OK makes software designed to recover failed systems from corruption, virus infection and faulty software installations, and allows users to restore data lost due to accidental file deletion or system corruption.
