Andrew Baer joins Comcast Cable as its Chief Information Officer. Baer will be responsible for developing Comcast's internal Information Technology strategy. He will also oversee the integration of the IT organizations in former Timer warner and Adelphia Cable systems. Baer will report to Dave Scott, ECP of Finance and Administration.

Ross Levinsohn will be replaced by Peter Levinsohn as President of Fox Interactive Media. The change will be effective November 27. Peter Levinsohn has been President of the Fox Entertainment Group's digital media arm.

Gannett, the publisher of USA Today and 89 other daily newspapers, has named three new executives for its Gannett Digital division. The company named Daniel Donaghy as the division's Senior Vice President of Sales, Peter Lundquist as its Vice President of Content and Product Development, and Matthew Jones as its Director of Mobile Strategy and Operations.

Jason Calacanis, a blog pioneer who ran Dulles-based AOL's Netscape division, resigned on Thursday after the company replaced Chairman and CEO Jonathan Miller with Randy Falco.
