Liberty Media Invests in Korean Online Virtual Pets Game "GoPets"

Seoul, Korea - GoPets, a Korea-based operator of an interactive 3D online world for virtual pets, announced on Monday that it has received an undisclosed sum as a strategic investment from Liberty Media.

"GoPets represents an exciting online entertainment experience for consumers all over the world. It is a perfect marriage of casual gaming and social networking, targeted at the women's audience that Liberty knows well," said Liberty Media senior vice president Michael Zeisser.

The site allows users' virtual pets to roam freely, visting the desktops of community members to socialize, play games and create links between GoPets players.
