Video Repurposing Equipment Firm RipCode Raises $7 Million

Dallas - RipCode, a maker of video equipment that aims to accelerate the repurposing of mobile TV, video on social networks and studio-based productions, announced on Monday that it has raised $7 million in its first round of venture capital financing.

Hunt Ventures, Vesbridge Partners and El Dorado Ventures co-led the investment round, with participation by ATA Ventures.

Based in Dallas and Austin, RipCode is "focused on eliminating the physical barriers now restricting content from being viewed on multiple viewing mediums."
