Verizon Wireless Adds User-Generated Mobile Videos from RevverAuthored by Mark Hefflinger on November 29, 2006 - 2:16pm.
Los Angeles - Online video-sharing site Revver announced on Wednesday an agreement with Verizon Wireless that will bring its user-generated videos to mobile phones.
Beginning next month, Revver videos will be available to Verizon subscribers with compatible handsets who subscribe to the company's $15-per-month V CAST multimedia service. Revver will select a small segment of its videos, which will then be edited for content by Verizon. The deal follows a similar agreement reached between Verizon and YouTube. Los Angeles-based Revver compensates users of its service by sharing net revenue from advertising 50/50 with creators, a policy that will be extended to users who opt to allow their content to be shared on V CAST.
