San Mateo, Calif. - Sling Media, a developer of digital media products, on Thursday said that it has hired former MTV executives Jason Hirschhorn and Benjamin White to run its newly created Sling Media Entertainment Group.
The group, based in New York, will develop new applications and services for the company's Slingbox, which allows users to access their home TV channels from any Internet-connected device. Hirschhorn was a founding partner at TripleH Media Advisors, a digital media consultancy, and previously served as the chief digital officer at MTV Networks. White most recently served as the vice president of digital media for MTV Networks.
