Yahoo Debuts Mobile Social Networking Service on Campuses
Sunnyvale, Calif. - Yahoo has launched a mobile social networking service, allowing members to share photos, videos and text messages on their mobile phones, InformationWeek reported.
The Mixd service will initially be marketed on a number of college campuses, while the company tests the service and gathers feedback.
"It's really an experiment," Scott Gatz, senior director of Yahoo's advanced products group, told Information Week. "We're putting it out to consumers to see how they use the product."
