Hollywood talent and literary agency UTA announced today that Adam Ware will be joining the company in the newly created position of Head of Business Development. Ware will focus on new investment opportunities and joint ventures for the company with a specific interest in the new media sector. He will report to UTA Board member Jeremy Zimmer and will work alongside Brent Weinstein, the agency's Head of Digital Media. Ware will interface with all departments at the company including the agency’s newly announced UTA Online division. Prior to joining UTA, Ware specialized in new digital businesses and served in various senior management positions in the launches of the FOX and UPN networks, as well as Barry Diller’s CityVision channel brand.

Newsweek
Editor Jon Meacham announced several personnel changes yesterday for the magazine’s website. Newsweek's National Affairs Editor Tom Watson has been promoted to Managing Editor of Newsweek.com. Watson will manage online and print magazine projects. He came to Newsweek in January 2001 and has overseen the magazine's national news coverage.

Assistant Managing Editor for Design, Lynn Staley, will also apply her skills to the website. Staley has been design director for more than a decade at Newsweek. Replacing Staley will be Amid Capeci, who left Newsweek in 2004 to be art director for Rolling Stone. He will return to Newsweek in February 2007.

Arlene Getz, Senior Editorial Manager of Newsweek.com, will add Senior Editor for the print magazine to her duties as well. Carl Sullivan, News Editor for Newsweek.com, has been named Senior Writer for the magazine and will continue his duties on the website.
