Limelight Networks, a content delivery network for digital media, announced that Matthew Hale has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. Hale reports to Limelight Networks Chairman and CEO Jeff Lunsford and is responsible for all of the company's finance and administrative operations. Hale was previously with S1 Corporation, a customer-interaction software firm, where he was President of North America Retail Banking, Global Wholesale Banking and Insurance Markets. www.llnw.com Gemstar-TV Guide International announced today that it has promoted Ian Birch to the newly-created position of Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer. In this new role, Birch will work closely with the editorial and programming teams at each of the company’s businesses to identify, develop and expand upon cross-platform content initiatives, including TV Guide magazine, TV Guide Online and the TV Guide Channel. In addition, Birch will retain his role as Editor-in-Chief, TV Guide magazine.
