Schaumberg, Ill. - Motorola announced on Tuesday that it has invested an undisclosed sum in application developer Mobile Complete.

Motorola Ventures led the company's second round of venture capital financing, which also included participation from previous investor Innovacom VC.

Founded in 2003, San Mateo, Calif.-based Mobile Complete's applications include DeviceAnywhere.com, which allows the remote control and operation of mobile phones directly from a user's PC.

Content providers can install their applications, download content over-the-air and test the compatibility of their content with these handsets. The service has so far been deployed across 10 carrier networks in the U.S., Canada and the U.K.
