Foster City, Calif. - Sony Computer Entertainment America on Tuesday launched a new service that lets owners of its PSP handheld download and play classic PlayStation game titles.
Titles for the original PlayStation such as "Crash Bandicoot," "Syphon Filter" and "Tekken 2" can now be purchased for $5.99 each from the PlayStation Store for play on the PSP. A second batch of PlayStation titles will be added to the store later this month. "Downloadable PlayStation emulated games on the PSP is just the beginning, but it underscores our vision for leveraging the wide breadth of content that's available from the PlayStation brand, and delivers value to gamers well beyond the initial purchase of their PS3 and PSP," said Peter Dille, SCEA senior vice president of product marketing.
