El Segundo, Calif. - Satellite TV provider DirecTV announced on Wednesday that it has signed a three-year deal with NASCAR to offer its subscribers five unique channels with multiple camera feeds that will follow different top NASCAR drivers during each race.
The NASCAR Hotpass service on DirecTV will feature five dedicated driver channels with multiple camera angles, real-time statistics, in-car audio communication and a dedicated announcer team. DirecTV said that a team of 70 will produce the Hotpass service for the 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup Season. The Hotpass service will go on sale beginning Dec. 13, with a full-season price tag of $99 and per-week option for $29.99.
