Los Angeles - Microsoft expects to have shipped over 10 million Xbox 360 video game consoles to retailers by the end of the year, Reuters reported.
The forecast is on target with earlier Microsoft projections for the year, as well as with its future forecast to have shipped between 13 million and 15 million consoles by the end of June 2007. Microsoft has so far shipped 6 million Xbox 360 consoles to retailers. The company debuted its Xbox 360 about a year ahead of rivals Sony and Nintendo, which recently launched their next-generation PlayStation 3 and Wii consoles, respectively.
