Daniel Starr has been named to the newly created position of Vice President, Online Media, for digital entertainment company New MotionIn this position, Starr will oversee all of the company’s online media activities, including media buys, trend assessment, search engine optimization, tracking and analysis. He will manage these functions for all three of New Motion, Inc’s divisions -- MobileSidewalk™, RingtoneChannel and Bid4Prizes. Starr joins New Motion, Inc. from his recent stint as president, west coast office for multi-million dollar Internet conglomerate CPX Interactive / BUDS Inc., where he helped establish the company’s West Coast presence.

Walt Disney Internet Group has announced that Trish Halamandaris has been elevated from director to Vice President, Marketing and Carrier Sales; and Stan Liu has been promoted from director to Vice President, Mobile Content Development. mDisney develops classic and current Disney-branded titles for the mobile platform, such as Pirates of the Caribbean and High School Musical, while Starwave Mobile cultivates third-party licensed content for mobile such as Scarface, Trivial Pursuit and Beyoncé.

ZING today announced the appointment of Consumer Electronics industry veteran Jon McCormack as Vice President of Software. McCormack will assume overall leadership for ZING's platform, application software and services, used by leading consumer partners like SIRIUS Satellite Radio to create a new class of portable entertainment players.
McCormack will be tasked with growing ZING’s development organization, expanding its product offering and supporting ZING’s partners. He reports directly to ZING CEO Tim Bucher. McCormack joins ZING from Openwave, the leading provider of software products and services for mobility in the communications and media industries.
