Sprint Nextel Gives Gary Forsee Additional Role of Chairman

Reston, Va. - Sprint Nextel has given Gary Forsee, its president and CEO, the additional title of chairman. Forsee replaces Tim Donahue, who will retire as the company's executive chairman at the end of this month. Forsee has headed Sprint Nextel since the company's merger in August 2005, and prior to that had served as the chairman and CEO of Sprint. In addition, the company has named board director Robert Bennett as the chair of its finance committee, as well as a member of its audit committee.
