Redmond, Wash. - Microsoft announced on Friday that developer Epic Games' "Gears of War" title, created exclusively for its Xbox 360 console, has now sold more than 2 million units in six weeks of release.

Having sold one million units in the U.S. alone, the game has become the year's fastest-selling title for a next-generation console. "Gears of War" is also currently the top title on Microsoft's Xbox Live, where more than 1 million unique gamers have logged 10 million online gameplay sessions.
