Philadelphia --Comcast, the nation's largest cable TV provider, announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with TV production company Endemol to launch a contest seeking user-generated ideas to turn into a TV show.

Comcast's new Ziddio user-generated video site will host the "Ten Day Take" contest, which will give the user who submits the best idea for a TV show a $50,000 production budget and ten days to complete a pilot. Both the pilot and the shoot itself will be available on Ziddio, as well as on Comcast's video-on-demand service.

Ziddio has also partnered with HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival on another contest called "No Talent Nation," which seeks user-generated comedy or musical parody videos. Submissions will be featured on Ziddio and on Comcast VOD, and ten winners will get the chance to perform live at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen next year.
