Mobile Photo, Video Management Firm PixSense Raises $5.4 Million

Santa Clara, Calif. - PixSense, the developer of a service that lets mobile subscribers manage their camera phone photos, videos and other mobile media, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $5.4 million in its first round of venture capital financing, led by ATA Ventures and Innovacom.

Santa Clara, Calif.-based PixSense's technology lets users manage photos, videos, audio, blogs and text directly from their mobile devices. The service is set to launch with mobile carriers in early 2007.

The company will use the funds to accelerate product development and service deployments, and to secure new partnerships with mobile carriers worldwide.
