San Francisco – TutorVista, a San Francisco-based provider of leading online tutoring and test preparation services, said on Wednesday that it has landed $10.75 million in its second round of funding, which included a $7 million investment from Lightspeed Venture Partners. Sequoia Capital India and Silicon Valley Bank also participated in the round, which will allow the company to expand its services and operations worldwide.Launched in 2005, TutorVista currently offers one-on-one online tutoring and test-preparation services in the U.S. and U.K. for K-12, college and graduate level students in many subjects.
