New York - Broadband entertainment site Heavy.com announced on Monday that it has raised $20 million in a new round of financing, from Polaris Venture Partners.

Polaris also provided $10 million to New York-based Heavy.com in early 2006. Heavy.com offers both original and user-generated content geared towards 18-34 year old males. The site's traffic more than doubled in 2006, while revenue increased 350% for the year.

The new financing will be used to expand Heavy's network internationally and to create new brands that capitalize on the company's content, advertising relationships and technical infrastructure.
