Las Vegas - MobiTV, a provider of mobile TV delivery technology and programming, is demonstrating its unified multicast and unicast TV service for the WiMax standard this week at the Consumer Electronics Show. WiMax was developed to connect Wi-Fi hotspots, and serve as a wireless alternative to cable and DSL broadband. The company also announced a deal with Sprint, to power a mobile TV service for the wireless carrier's joint venture with a number of cable TV companies. Finally, MobiTV said it partnered with major record label Warner Music Group, to create branded mobile TV channels for Warner artists like Linkin Park and Red Hot Chili Peppers that offer both music videos and original video content.
