Avid Technology, a provider of digital video postproduction equipment, has named Greg Estes as its Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to joining Avid, Estes served as Vice President of Global Marketing for Silicon Graphics.

DreamWorks Animation has appointed Anne Globe as Head of Worldwide Marketing and Consumer Products, it was announced today by CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg. Globe takes over for Terry Press, the longtime marketing head of the studio, who announced plans to step down from her role, but to continue to work with the studio, as well as to take on other non-competitive projects in the industry. Globe has been head of worldwide consumer products and promotion at DreamWorks Animation since 2005. Globe joined DreamWorks in 1996.

Double Fusion, the in-game advertising company, has announced three new additions to their sales team: Aaron Lassila, formerly of EA and Clear Channel, joins as Director of Sales, Western Region; Chris Negron formerly of CNET and TV Guide, will be Director of Sales, Central Region; and Danielle Ryniker formerly of CNET and Unicast, is Senior Sales Manager, Eastern Region.

Brilliant Technologies today announced that it has named Andrew Nibley to lead the company’s newly-formed Qtrax advisory board. Qtrax is an ad-supported peer-to-peer music offering that is expected to launch during the first half of the year.
