London - Mobile entertainment publisher Player X announced that it has raised $9.85 million in its second round of venture capital financing, led by Nordic Venture Partners and Long Acre Partners with participation from previous investor Arts Alliance.

London-based Player X has developed mobile games including "Miami Vice" and "Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit." In December 2006, the company launched a mobile TV channel called geekTV for U.K. wireless carrier 3 UK.

The company will use the investment to fund rapid expansion and accelerate its development of mobile TV, video and games.
