San Francisco - Kiptronic, a provider of ad-insertion technology for audio and video podcasts, plans to announce that it has raised $4 million in its first round of financing, led by Blueprint Ventures and Prism VentureWorks, NewTeeVee.com reported.

San Francisco-based Kiptronic said that the over 3,000 podcasts it has provided ad services for were downloaded a total of 47 million times during the fourth quarter of 2006.

The company will use the funds to seek additional advertising partners, as well as radio, TV and print outlets seeking to monetize their digital downloads.
