Park City, Utah - RealNetworks, a provider of media delivery technology, announced on Monday that its newly launched Film.com news and entertainment site will offer a free, streaming full-length independent movie each week.

The feature will be supported by in-movie sponsorship and ads following the films.

The initial catalog of movies will be provided by San Francisco-based GreenCine, which operates an online DVD rental service for independent films. The first movie to be featured on Film.com is "24 Hours on Craigslist," which documents a random day-in-the-life on the site in San Francisco.

Seattle-based RealNetworks added that it is now accepting submissions from independent filmmakers for potential inclusion in the program.
