San Francisco - News Corp.'s MySpace online social network plans to launch a version of its site in Mexico, Billboard.com reported.

A test version of the site has already gone live.

"It's really a testing phase for us, not something we're pushing out," Travis Katz, head of marketing at Fox Interactive Media, told CNET News.com.

"That phase normally lasts about two weeks, and then we move into what we call our beta launch."

Katz added that nearly one million of MySpace's 90 million users are located in Mexico, and will be invited to switch to the Spanish-language site in several weeks for the beta launch.

MySpace Mexico is expected to officially launch in several months. The company has also launched localized versions in the U.K., Germany, Ireland, Italy and Spain, and plans sites in France, Australia, Japan and China.
