Sweden Is First Country to Open a Virtual Embassy in Second Life

Stockholm, Sweden - The tech-savvy country of Sweden on Tuesday revealed plans to be the first country to open an embassy in the much talked about virtual world Second Life.

"It will have answers to questions on all aspects of Sweden," Olle Wastberg,
general director of the Swedish Institute, an organization which promotes
the country's image abroad, said in a statement Tuesday.

The virtual embassy will open in a couple of weeks and be called House of Sweden, modeled on the country's new
embassy in Washington. Second Life says it has more than 3 million inhabitants from around the globe.
