Report: Stealth Firm Broadband Instruments Developing Digital Music Tech

San Francisco - Wired News reported on Thursday that a stealth-mode company called Broadband Instruments, founded by former executives at Musicmatch, iRiver and Rio, is developing unspecified digital music technology that may include a consumer device and wireless functionality.

San Diego-based Broadband Instruments is backed by venture firms including Sevin Rosen Funds and AustinVentures.

The company's management team includes Dennis Mudd (formerly of MusicMatch), Jonathan Sasse (formerly of iRiver), and Jim Cady (formerly of Rio), Wired News reported.
