Los Angeles - Amp'd Mobile, a mobile virtual network operator targeting a youth audience, said on Monday that it has signed deals with comedian Jack Black and Howard Gordon, executive producer of Fox's "24," to create original content for mobile phones, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Black and his producing partners will develop a series of shorts for Amp'd, where viewers will be able to vote on which projects are continued.

Gordon's Icebox Web entertainment firm will provide original content from "The Simpsons" producer Rob LaZebnik and "King of the Hill" producer Jon Collier, as well as the original online series, "Paranormal News."

Los Angeles-based Amp'd also signed "Lil' Bush" creator Donick Cary to produce two new animated mobile series:  "Lil' Hollywood," featuring Carson Daly; and "Mexican Crazy Show."

Last month, Amp'd signed a deal with MTV Networks to create and distribute made-for-mobile programming.
