Santa Clara, Calif. - Mercora, an online radio network with over 100,000 user-programmed channels, announced on Monday a partnership with online pop culture magazine PopMatters, on a program to provide promotion for indie music artists. The Listen Up program offers labels "premier streaming media placements" within both PopMatters' editorial content and media center, and in Mercora's music channels; labels will also receive revenue through SoundExchange. The companies said labels initially participating in the Listen Up program include Kill Rock Stars, Ninja Tune, Thrill Jockey and Warp. Founded in 1999, PopMatters claims 1.2 million unique monthly users and 15 million monthly pageviews.
