RealNetworks Acquires Brazilian Casual Game Distributor Atrativa

Amsterdam - RealNetworks, a provider of media delivery technology, announced on Tuesday that it acquired Sao Paulo, Brazil-based casual games site Atrativa at the end of 2006 for an undisclosed price.

Founded in 2001, Atrativa is the most-visited casual games site in South America, distributing its titles on the largest South American localized portals.

Seattle-based RealNetworks' games platforms, which now include RealArcade, GameHouse.com, Zylom.com and Atrativa.com.br, account for a daily average of more than 750,000 game downloads.
