Bristol, Conn. - Disney's ESPN cable sports network announced on Thursday that it has signed a multi-year, exclusive agreement with Verizon Wireless to host its Mobile ESPN service.

Disney previously invested $150 million to develop two wireless services of its own -- Mobile ESPN and Disney Mobile. The company decided to shutter the standalone Mobile ESPN service -- which reportedly drew less than 30,000 subscribers -- in September 2006.

The new service will offer ESPN's feed of scores, news and video to Verizon customers subscribed to the company's $15 per month V CAST service.

Verizon will also offer an ESPN channel through Qualcomm's MediaFLO mobile TV service.
