David Goldberg and Robert Roback, Vice Presidents and General Managers of Yahoo Music, have resigned. The pair had joined Yahoo in 2001 when their company they had founded, Launch Media, was acquired by the Internet portal. In separate prepared statements released by Yahoo, Goldberg and Roback stated that they were stepping down for personal reasons. Vince Broady, Head of Entertainment and Games at Yahoo, will oversee Yahoo music.

Adrian Sexton
has joined Participant Productions, a Los Angeles-based film production company, as Executive Vice President in charge of Digital, announced today by Jim Berk, CEO of Participant.  Reporting to Berk, Sexton will oversee the company’s expansion into global media, the production of new programs and digital distribution.  Sexton will also lead new digital initiative partnerships and strategic acquisitions. Sexton comes to Participant from TAG Strategic, a digital media and entertainment agency he co-founded with Ted Cohen.

, a mobile marketing technology company, today announced the appointment of Timothy Favia as President and CEO. Martin Kristiseter, former CEO and founder of mSnap, will remain with the company as Executive Vice President. Favia is a co-founder and former Executive Vice President of advertising technology company Mediaplex, and has more than 20 years of experience working with venture capital backed companies from inception through IPO.

Marc Gareton has been promoted to the newly created role of Senior Vice President, International – Europe, Warner Bros. Digital Distribution it was announced today by Simon Kenny, President, Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, to whom Marc will directly report. In this newly created post, London-based Gareton will oversee digital strategy, partnerships in digital services and emerging business activity in Europe. Prior to this promotion, Gareton served as Senior Vice President, Business Decision Support for Warner Bros. Home Video.

Garth Ancier has been named President of BBC Worldwide America. Ancier will be charged with developing the BBC brand in the U.S., and expanding BBC Worldwide's portfolio of channels beyond the flagship BBC America cable channel. He will be based in New York and will report to BBC Worldwide America CEO John Smith.

Viacom’s MTV Networks announced that it will cut about 250 U.S. jobs to reduce costs and will invest more heavily in digital businesses and new networks. The company also said it is seeking new business models for its international television and online businesses. The cuts are part of Viacom Chief Executive Philippe Dauman's restructuring strategy, which included the departure of MTV Networks President Michael Wolf in January.

The Los Angeles Times Media Group announced today that Javier J. Aldape has been named General Manager and Editor for Hoy-Los Angeles, and Vice President, Audience Development. Aldape will report directly to Times Publisher and CEO, David Hiller.
