DirecTV Launches Interactive TV Casual Games Channel

El Segundo, Calif. - Satellite TV provider DirecTV on Wednesday announced the launch of Game Lounge, an interactive TV casual games channel.

The company said it partnered with Mattel to develop casual games for children based on its Hot Wheels, Barbie and UNO properties; the channel will also offer casual games based on Nickelodeon, Leap Frog and PBS Kids franchises.

In addition to kids' games, Toronto-based FUN Technologies said that its SkillJam unit will provide skill-based cash and prize tournaments for casual games like Solitaire and Sudoku on Game Lounge.

DirecTV said the channel will be available for $5.95 per month, or $1.95 per day.

How do I activate Gamelounge?

Hello! I have a Direct TV account, and see the Gamelounge on several channels, but the message on said channels is that the service will be available soon on the Direct TV model we have. How long are we to wait? Thank you for any information you might pass along! John

I am also getting the same messages. First it says the connection has been interupted,check to see if phone lines are free, then try again. then it says my modem is busy,try again in 5 minutes, if it doesn't work contact them at gamelounge@directtv.com which doesn't exist!!

i have hd reciver it never will connect unless i hit reset on reciver , whats the problem and also their is no such thing as , gamelounge@directv.com on my computer thanks F.D.Seagle
