Universal Music Group is seeking a Director of Product Development/Digital for the Universal City, CA office. The role will oversee and manage the innovative product packages targeted at digital consumer that UMGD rolls out. This position will be responsible for being the primary liaison with their assigned labels, obtaining their consensus and agreement on set-up and launch of their new product lines, and working closely with them to ensure maximum sales, marketing, and sell-through opportunities.

Job Functions:

• Responsible for day to day management of new digital product lines for assigned label groups
• Liaise with label partners to:
   o get consensus on new product lines
   o strategize marketing and sales launch
   o manage data and information back to the labels to improve and enhance future marketing and sales strategies
   o interact with constant communication in the areas of sales, marketing and analysis
• Liaise with Digital sales teams to:
   o Implement marketing and sales campaigns at physical/digital retail
   o Manage sales goals for labels
• Manage projects from beginning to end and meet deadlines
• Create action plans to maintain optimum market share

Requirements:
• Solid understanding of data analysis, consumer research, and their relationship to current business strategies
• Ability to think creatively and independently, as well as collaboratively • Solid understanding of retail sales and marketing strategies
• Solid understanding of digital consumer practices
• Proven track record of managing projects from beginning to end, inception to sell-through • Proven track record of executing marketing, sales, and business plans
• Ability to operate in a highly collaborative manner and work in pressure situations
• Excellent negotiating and people skills
• Polished presentation skills, ability to appeal to variety of customers
• Ability to craft and deliver executive-level presentations
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management and executives
• Minimum 5 years of sales or marketing experience (direct or indirect)
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience (direct or indirect)
• Minimum 5 years of product develop experience (direct or indirect)
