Fox Interactive Media Buys Interactive Ad Developer Strategic Data Corp.

Los Angeles - News Corporation's Fox Interactive Media unit announced on Thursday that it has acquired interactive advertising technology developer Strategic Data Corporation (SDC).

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2000, Santa Monica, Calif.-based SDC's technology delivers highly-targeted, graphical performance-based advertising.

The technology will be used across Fox Interactive Media stable of sites -- including MySpace, IGN, Direct2Drive, AmericalIdol.com and AskMen.com -- which combined register 135 million users worldwide and 40 billion page views each month, according to ComScore MediaMetrix.

"SDC will enable us to realize the full potential of our massive online network," said Fox Interactive Media president Peter Levinsohn.

"SDC's expert team and technologies combined with our own top notch engineers and vast audience will enable us to ensure the optimal performance of our advertising for the benefit of clients and consumers alike."
