Mobile Multimedia Firm Mobixell to Acquire Adamind for $5.5 Million

Wellesley, Mass. - Mobixell, a provider of mobile multimedia technology, announced that it will pay $5.5 million to acquire virtually all the assets of Adamind, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based supplier of media adaptation software for mobile communications.

The assets to be acquired include intellectual property, software, and contracts with customers and suppliers relating to the development, marketing, and sale of all Adamind's transcoding and mobile multimedia software.

In addition, the majority of Adamind's employees will become employees of Wellesley, Mass.-based Mobixell.

"The combined customer installed base is impressive, with over 150 mobile operator and content provider deployments worldwide," said Shailendra Jain, CEO of Adamind, commenting on the deal.
