Los Angeles - TV production company Endemol USA ("Big Brother," "Fear Factor," "Deal or No Deal") announced that it has acquired JoeCartoon.com, a producer of original animation content, Variety reported.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Launched in 1998, JoeCartoon.com is best known for its "Frog in a Blender" animated short.

Endemol plans to "significantly expand JoeCartoon's Web presence and develop specific content packages for mobile operators around the world."

Endemol will also produce a TV series based on several JoeCartoon characters. The company expects to re-launch the website by the end of June.
