Online Ad Service Provider Spotzer Media Group Raises Funds

Amsterdam - Spotzer Media Group, a provider of online advertising technology and services, announced that it has raised an undisclosed sum in its second round of venture capital financing, led by DutchView, Holland's largest post production company.

Spotzer said that corporate and individual investors from the U.S. and Europe also participated in the round.

Founded in 2006, Amsterdam-based Spotzer plans in March to launch its service that will help companies purchase affordable and targeted ad time on TV, websites and mobile devices.

"We are pre-producing thousands of commercials and then enabling local businesses around the world to personalize these video ads with their unique logos, photos, videos, slogans and contact information," said Spotzer chairman and CEO Andrew Klein. "We intend to outsource substantially all of these processes to DutchView."

The company's service is similar to that of Los Angeles-based Spot Runner, whose online service helps local businesses produce ads and purchase TV airtime.

Cheap-TV-Spots does it Better and Cheaper

I don't know which company has more holes in its business model, Spotzer or Spotrunner. The world leader in discount TV ads is Cheap-TV-Spots.com. Spotrunner and Spotzer can't compete directly with Cheap TV Spots for quality (Cheap TV Spots has 60 international awards) or price, since Cheap-TV-Spots.com does not tack on fees like the other two companies do.
