San Francisco - Apple said on Monday that it will delay the release of its new Apple TV product -- a box that streams Web video and other computer content to a television -- until mid-March, Reuters reported.

"Wrapping up Apple TV is taking a few weeks longer than we projected," Apple spokeswoman Lynn Fox told Reuters.

The company had previously planned to launch the $299 device this month.
