Digital Media Distributor ViDeOnline Raises $12 Million

Redwood City, Calif. - ViDeOnline Communications, a company that aggregates digital media content for distribution over its network to Internet service providers, said on Monday that it has landed $12 million in a new round of funding, led by Intel Capital.

Redwood City, Calif.-based ViDeOnline said that it is hoping to become a major player in digital media distribution in Asia by distributing licensed movie and music content to local carriers, Internet service providers and IPTV companies.

The company is initially focusing on the Chinese market.
