Toronto - JumpTV, an Internet TV network that syndicates more than 270 news and other channels from over 70 countries, announced that it has raised about $100 million in an offering of shares on London's Alternative Investments Market (AIM).

A syndicate of underwriters led by Canaccord Capital Corporation and Morgan Stanley Canada purchased the bulk of the 13 million shares offered.

Toronto-based JumpTV has secured deals to provide live Internet simulcasts of TV news channels from around the world, targeted mainly at residents of various countries who are living abroad.

Each channel is offered for $9.95 per month, while multi-channel packages start at $19.95 per month.

The company said it will use some or all of the proceeds from the offering for acquisitions.
