John Riccitiello Rejoins Electronic Arts as New CEO

Redwood City, Calif. - Video game publisher Electronic Arts on Monday named John Riccitiello as its new CEO, effective April 2.

Riccitiello had served as EA's president and COO before leaving the company in 2004 to co-found private equity firm Elevation Partners, where he served as managing partner.

He will replace Larry Probst, who will continue as executive chairman.

"Leading EA has always been my dream job," said Riccitiello, who also serves on the board of Hyperion Solutions.
