Venice, Calif. - Vantage Media, a provider of search engine marketing services, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $70 million in its first round of venture capital financing, led by Montgomery & Co.

Other investors in the round included Scale Venture Partners, Tudor Ventures and Integral Capital Partners.

The company also announced the appointment of former Frontbridge Technologies CEO Steve Jillings as its new chief executive.

Founded in 2002, Venice, Calif.-based Vantage Media provides its search engine marketing services to both Google and Yahoo, as well as a number of online universities.

The company currently manages more than 40 million keywords that attract one billion impressions per year.
