Los Angeles - Yedda, an Israel-based developer of semantic search technology, has raised $2.5 million in a new round of venture capital financing, led by Genesis Partners.

Private investors also participated in the round.

Founded in 1995, Yedda recently launched a beta version of its search technology, which helps users find answers to their questions by connecting them with Web users who share their subjective knowledge, based on experience and opinion.
