Denver, Colo. - The NCAA plans this week to announce the launch of NCAA On Demand, a site that will offer access to nearly 5,000 games in various sports, dating back to the 1930s.

The NCAA partnered with Thought Equity Motion to digitize its entire footage archive, resulting in the creation of the NCAA Championship Collection, which will be offered for sale on DVD, with select content made available for digital download and free Internet streaming at NCAAOnDemand.com.

The most popular titles will also be offered through Amazon.com.

The Collection includes the 1966 Texas Western vs. Kentucky men's basketball championship game -- inspiration for the movie "Glory Road" -- which was created after the digitally restored film footage was synchronized with the only existing radio broadcast of the game.
